Smiles and Frowns Playhouse is hosting two fall workshops in 2025! All classes will meet from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Ayden Arts & Recreation Center (4354 Lee St Ayden, NC 28513). You may signup your young performers for one or both classes.
Storytelling Workshop: September 20
Taught by Maxine Ford, Ashton Kern, and Julie George, this class will focus on learning how to apply different perspectives on dramatic material. Join local teachers in age-appropriate groups, learn acting skills, and have fun!
Dance Workshop: October 25
Taught by guest artist Emily Acree, a professional choreographer from the Raleigh/Durham area, this workshop will focus on how to learn a dance routine and audition for musicals. Come prepared to move to the beat!
Who May Attend?
These classes are open to all young performers, K – 12th grade. There is a $15 fee per student, per class. Once you’ve completed the below form, we will reach out to you with more information for your specific day of class. Scholarships are available (contact us here or on Facebook).
