Sleepy Hollow Crew Signup


Signups are now available to work on the technical crew for our fall show, Legend of Sleepy Hollow! Students between the ages of 12 and 18 are eligible to help build and paint sets, assemble and craft props, work on lights and sound, and also run the the show both backstage and in the booth. We look forward to seeing all interested crew and their families join us for an orientation on Saturday, September 13 from 10-11am at the Ayden Recreation Center. This meeting will be used to review the work day and show schedule, introduce leaders, and answer questions.

Please review the draft timeline below and then use the following signup form. There is a $5 fee to help cover expenses for the post-production party (an extra $15 is owed if a show T-shirt is ordered). Crew members will receive two complimentary tickets for the show. Please note: actors cast in the show may attend technical days without signing up online (no additional fee charged for participation).

Production Timeline

Please note that everything is still a work-in-progress and subject to change. All events are at the Ayden Recreation Center.

  • Orientation: Saturday September 13 (10-11am). A parent/guardian should attend to sign legal paperwork.
  • Work Days: Saturdays (September 20, September 27, October 4, October 11, October 18, all 10am-3pm). Participants should wear sturdy shoes and work clothes that may get paint or saw dust on them, as well as a snack/lunch.
  • Load-In: Saturday October 25 (10am-3pm). All set, props, etc, will be brought downstairs for final work/touchups.
  • Cue to Cue: Saturday November 1 (10am-4pm). Show crew will practice scene changes, with booth crew helping build lighting cues and adding sound.
  • Tech Rehearsals: Monday November 3 – Friday November 8 (5:30-7pm). Crew will run the show in separate acts per day during rehearsal; no black clothes required yet.
  • Runthroughs: Monday November 11 – Thursday November 13 (6-9:30pm). Crew will run the entire show each night; some crew members be called earlier than 6:00pm if required by preshow checks/position.
  • Show: Friday November 14 (7pm) and Saturday November 15 (2pm). Crew will usually arrive one to one and half hours ahead of the performance time. Strike (putting everything away in upstairs storage) will happen immediately after the Saturday performance. A party will be held afterward onsite.
